broken made beautiful mission statement

Our mission is to connect trauma survivors to Christ-centered resources that facilitate their healing process through partnerships with other like-minded not-for-profits.

Our mission

Our mission began in 2020 with the vision to provide Christ-centered resources to teen and adult survivors of sexual trauma. Recovery can be lifelong and requires a holistic approach including mental, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of healing.

We believe that offering a foundational understanding of our identity in Christ is a key component to complete healing and freedom. When we know our intrinsic worth we aren’t caught in the trap of seeking it outside ourselves. Survivors can be reached with your help through our online resources including the 7 days of hope challenge, our survivor workbook and courses through partnerships with other not-profit organizations.

Rae Allina,
Broken Made Beautiful Founder and President

message from our founder

Hi, my name is Rae Allina and my mission is to show survivors of sexual trauma that our worth comes from our creator and we can live unashamed. I am a wife, mom of two small boys, fur mom of 2 sister rescue pups and a successful entrepreneur. I am also a survivor of molestation and rape, that began as a toddler, and shaped my identity until many years later when I learned my true identity in Christ. I know firsthand the god-sized hole that is left in our hearts when our innocence is stolen from us and how scary it is to trust anyone, including Him. My prayer for anyone reading this is that you no longer feel alone and can begin the journey of healing today.

Recovery is a lifelong journey in my experience and the effects of abuse impact all aspects of our lives: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. I spent much of my life trying to escape my past, my feelings and ultimately running from myself and the only one who could provide true healing from the shame that abuse leaves behind. That shame drove my actions and looked a lot like self-harm because I didn’t have the skills or tools to make healthy choices. That is why I had a desire to create this community and provide resources that helped turn my life around.

Broken Made Beautiful is about discovering your value that comes from within and identifying your god given gifts to build a life of abundance that is free from shame. It all starts with having the right resources and support! I hope my personal story along with other survivors helps you feel you belong and can take steps towards freedom today.

Being a Broken Made Beautiful is not only about overcoming but advocating! Did you know that 85% of those who are sex trafficked have a history of sexual abuse? Maybe that was where trauma led you. You can change the direction and story of your life today. You may have had a rough start or setbacks along the way, but you can take actions today that will shape your future. You can have a fresh start and build a life that is purpose driven and glorifying to God.

You are fully known & fully loved,

Rae Allina
